    I use the DGLP on the Shapton Glass hones EVERYTIME. It isn't that much trouble, the hones seem to cut better and if thats what is recommended-so be it.

    I have lapped my Escher's with the DGLP and it is MUCH easier than using sandpaper on a granite tile.

    Thanks for all the input everyone . I think if I am to get a GDLP I would only use it to lap Shapton stones...just to be safe. I'm sure it would work well on other stones, but with a piece of equipment that expensive, I'm not sure if it's worth the risk for me!
