I agree with Bruce, it doesn't look like a hone to me either.... It looks like it was a VERY primitave razor at one time, judging by the way it narrows down at the one end. Weren't pieces of slate used for shaving once upon a time??

Its way to small to be either, although it does look broken at one end.
