I've just done my first honing and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.I was about to start when I found out I had to flatten the new stone but it didn't take too long.After about 60 strokes (perhaps too much?) I was concerned that I was putting an uneven edge on it but it must be ok.I stropped the razor but I didn't do the hair cutting test.
It turned out to be the smoothest cut so far even although I finished with a safety razor because I was late for work.So a success as far as I can see.The razor did not stop half way down my cheek as it usually does it was a much smoother operation altogether I'm quite chuffed!
