    Default Honing Dovo Tortoise

    Hey guys,

I just received my almost mint Dovo 5/8 Tortoise today! what a beauty! After playing with it I realized that the blade wasn't exactly keen so I brought it back to the hones to get her going. My question is....Is it too much of a jump to go from the 4k directly to a yellow coticule? Should I use the coticule with water first then dry or the othe way around?

If youve got a Norton4/8 combo Id take it to the 8K side of the norton first and then the yellow coticule.

The usual method depending on where the razors edge is at is slurry, water, dry. But I wouldnt do any of that if all the razor needs is to be touched up! PM sent!
