Thread: I like leather!

I have been refining my French razors.
One was new and was almost honed, the other was old and pretty dull - Like me.
I honed them on BBW with slurry then coticule with water only (I additionaly rubbed the old one on a coticule with lots of slurry to start a bevel at first).
Then I stroped both on flat card first with metal plolish then Cr02 on thick flat expensive paper.
After this they both just about popped arm hair.
I didn't think either was as keen as I would like,but stropped them both to death on a very,very soft small hanging strop designed for SE razor blades.
As far as I am aware this small soft strop does not have any abrasive on it but afterwards both blades pop arm hair with almost no resistance! Hows that then?
