I've been infected with an active strain of the S16k virus for two days now. I've cancelled my medical insurance to insure that I continually suffer so that I may document the effects of the disease, paving the way for many more to become infected in my wake.

    Altruistic? Martyrdom? .....

It's not really complete until you have the GDLP and the remaining grits

Congrats, you'll enjoy them with a huge smile on your face. I know, I do!

I've thought about getting the same setup, the 1k, 4k, 8k and 16k is the PERFECT setup in my opinion. I only wish I had the money...

I like it. If you look at my longtime avatar, you'll see the actual virus as it appears under a high powered microscope.

You do know that eventually you will progress onto an Escher?

But in the interim I have heard that the Shaptons are respectable hones and give quite a good edge.

That was my original plan too but since I am starting with zero I needed a lapper. I figured if I was getting a lapper it should do double duty as a bevel setter. So I went DMT D8E, Shapton 2K, 4K, 8K, 16K. Should get here next week
