I just have a quick question: Generally how porous are Thuringian hones? I assume they are more porous than a coticule, for example, because of the warning of keeping them away from oil and grease. But then why wouldn't they need to be pre-soaked, like other porous stones? Or is it just because they are only slightly porous?

I was just wondering that question when I was looking at my thuringian and my coticule
