Thread: Japanese Method

I tried stropping on my hypothenar a couple of weeks and I must say my razors shave very sharp and smooth. Before the shave against the growth I strop the razor again on my hypothenar and again the shave is very smooth.

Do you use any stropping aids on your hypothenar? A bit of CrOx perhaps or a dab of sub micron diamond? Or if you have callouses, have you grit evaluated them?

I strop on my hypothenar withhout paste or anything. I think the "human leather" is finer as the leather strop.
