My new mystery hone arrived from the bay, JimmyHAD already guessed that it looked like a Droescher from the sellers pic but I thought Id try and take a better pic

Sellers pic

and my pic next to a 6x2 Chinese 12K, both wet, colours dont look far off on my monitor but that doesnt mean much, Id say its a dark charcoal grey when dry.

Whatever it is I like it! Its softer and coarser than the 12k but still a fine cutter, I would guess it might fall somewhere from 8-10k but thats based on very limited experience. Slurry is a pale grey, it has a pleasing subtle grain that I couldnt capture in a photo, there are no revealing features on the sides, it is pretty much homogenous. When I got it it still had remanants of saw marks on the sides and ends, theres also a natural pore/defect on one end a few mm deep which you can just make out on the bottom right corner in the pics.

Any new thoughts on this?
