    Default New to Honing Razors...

I am about to start Honing my own razors. I just bought the Norton Starter Kit from CraftMans Gallery with 220/1000 and a 4000/8000 combination stone, a Norton flatening Stone in it. I also have a Chineese 12K enroute. I also am making the "Worlds Cheapest 30K" finisher with CrO2 and Balsa wood. I have a Chineese 12K slurry stone from ChrisL also. Should I get a lower grit slurry stone for the Norton's? I know they have a Norton Prep Stone. Is that needed? I have collected and sharpened knives for a few years, so I'm not new to the concept, but I definitely know that a razor requires much more delicate applications, and most likely longer. Do I need the Prep stone or am I good? Thanks all!!!
