I have noticed that a razor that i purchased from the classified here is slightly warped. I am not going to name anyone but it was a member here i bought it from. The shame is its a realy nice razor. Its a 6/8 boker half hollow with a barber notch with really pretty hand made wood scales. Its slightly warped so that when i lay it flat on the hone the center of the blade doesnt quite touch on one side. When i lay it on the other side it sticks up on the heal and toe witch is manageable. i can hone that side just rolling the razor. My question is what do i do. The bend is so slight without laying it flat you would never no. Is there a trick to honing a razor like this. The way i did it is i used a narrow coticule that i have so i could get the middle to touch but the problem is the bevel is not even at all. How can i set an even bevel on a razor like this? one side is perfect and the other the center of the razor has barely any bevel. Is there a way to straighten it? or a good way to hone a razor like this?
