Default Honing a slightly warped blade

I have noticed that a razor that i purchased from the classified here is slightly warped. I am not going to name anyone but it was a member here i bought it from. The shame is its a realy nice razor. Its a 6/8 boker half hollow with a barber notch with really pretty hand made wood scales. Its slightly warped so that when i lay it flat on the hone the center of the blade doesnt quite touch on one side. When i lay it on the other side it sticks up on the heal and toe witch is manageable. i can hone that side just rolling the razor. My question is what do i do. The bend is so slight without laying it flat you would never no. Is there a trick to honing a razor like this. The way i did it is i used a narrow coticule that i have so i could get the middle to touch but the problem is the bevel is not even at all. How can i set an even bevel on a razor like this? one side is perfect and the other the center of the razor has barely any bevel. Is there a way to straighten it? or a good way to hone a razor like this?

Is your coticule your only narrow hone? And how narrow is it? I would suggest the rolling X pattern if you're honing on a wider stone. Maybe you could try working on a coarser stone to set the bevel and that might even out the bend a little. The only thing you'll notice with the bevel on a slightly warped blade is that it isn't even all the way along.

I think if you work enough on the coarse stone the razor will naturally flatten, by essentially creating that uneven bevel (which generally really isn't a problem). I would do this on a 1000 grit stone, or possibly even coarser if you're up to it.

The areas that you mentioned barely having any bevel, is it sharp (i.e. passing the TPT)? Because if it is, then it shouldn't pose a problem shaving, just maybe a little extra caution when honing.

    Perhaps some pictures would help?
