Ardennes Coticule
Hey first post but here goes...
I would just like to say a big thankyou to Rob at Ardennes Coticule for helping me with my purchase of a BBW and a yellow coticule! The communication was excellent and helped me with everystep! I purchased a yellow standard bout which was well worth the price for what I paid! I also received a free coticule stone.
However the stones are in England at my girlfriends house while I am living in Germany for the year and I will only be able to pick them up in March but I can't wait!
I have also ordered the DMT 80th anniversary set for woodcraft which I thought was an excellent offer!
My GF bought me a starter set which consisted of a small 1"x4" canadian hone, strop, razor and brush. I tried using the hone supplied but realised my mistake that it did not specify a grit size so until I can use these new hones to repair it I have ordered a shave ready WAPI!
Lots of experimentation in the future and I can't wait!
This forum is great and full of useful threads and helpful people!
Thankyou to everyone!

Whisp, the little Coticule combo stone is for creating slurry both on your yellow and your blue Coticule stone

Thanked: 278+2. Always check the box for that slurry stone before throwing it away, they seem to be very generous in including one.
Here is my preciousssss...
It seems to be a combo stone even though I didn't order/ask for one.
Can't wait to use it in earnest.Last edited by Rajagra; 02-17-2009 at 12:16 PM.

Thanked: 278I did run an ebay razor over it. Felt incredibly smooth.
Building up the slurry is very quick with the stone, I had assumed it took a while, but just a few strokes gets it done.
My DMT 8C arrived this morning, so now I can lap/check the coticule and pick a razor to hone up.
