    You could even use the chipped side if you wanted to. Just rotate the stone so that the chipped edge is not facing your hand that is holding the razor. You can also make the chip completely inconsequential by wrapping some wet/dry sandpaper around a dowel or your finger and then rounding off the edge of the chip.

    It was tempting to mock you for not thinking of flipping the stone over, but I think you've already done that to yourself!

    A big +1 on rounding those edges. Blades have enough enemies of sharpness as it is, you don't need to leave those sitting there on your honing stone.
