swaty value
Hey guys, I've got two swaty's, thinking of selling one (in playing around with honing this past week I found I really like my frictionite, it worked great, not sure where the swaty is falling yet but don't figure I need two).
I think I'll sell the one that has Austria marked on it. The other one says three line, somebody already beveled the edges on it so I figured I'd keep that one.
what should I ask for it in the classifieds? says:
Franz-Swaty
Wahring dei Wien
Austria
Thanks.

Thanked: 3795The one you want to sell is a Swaty three line hone. The one that says "Three Line" is a Swaty clone that was made to capitalize on the popularity of the genuine Swaty.
The one you want to sell is worth $15 to $35 depending on its conditon, unless it's pristine, then more than that. If it's chipped, the low end of the scale and if it's lapped and in good condition, the higher end.

utopian is pretty much right on. I've never seen one for more than 30, if it still needs lapping, prolly more like 20.
