    Default Wedge Success

I finally beat the wedge that was beating me down. After the suggestions here and on the WIKI, I gave it another go. I tried 3 layers of tape on the spine and went to the norton 1000. With the edge lined with a marker, it took about 200 strokes to get the bevel nice and even throughout. Then it went to the 4000 for about 50 and followed by the 8000. At this point the edge looked very good and felt very sharp. Decided I wasn't going to skip any steps so off to the sharton 16k. Went to the paddle for pastes and then 60 on the strop. Now this thing gives out a nice , smooth shave. thanks to everyone that helped out, I couldn't have done it without you guys.

Awesome! I'm working on resetting a bevel on a really messed up wedge. They are so beefy and so time consuming. Very frustrating. Glad to hear there is a pot at the end of the rainbow.
