    Default Name that Hone!

I came across this on the bay. They state it's a natural & even mention that it's suited for final polish of straights.
HIGH QUALITY NEW NATURAL SHARPENING STONE/ WATER HONE on eBay, also, Barber Shop Shaving, Vanity Perfume Grooming, Collectables (end time 22-Mar-09 06:00:11 GMT)
It's a very odd colour though. Brown/ red. Not like any Chinese 12k i've seen.
Does anyone have any idea what it might be? I'd have assumed it was a synthetic if they hadn't stated contrary.

Arggghh ! I thought I was in HAD remission ........ until now....

Just kidding. I haven't the foggiest idea what it is. I know that if I don't get it someone on this forum probably will.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

That's true Jimmy, someone will. Go get it now, quick, before they do!!
If someone does i'd be interested in how it performs compared to the grey.

Seems like a good deal but from the edge smears and overall look of the surface, I'd say it is a very coarse stone. Even more so that the 500 grit I use for my meat cleavers.
