    Default The Rolled Edge

A message for people new to honing.

So I was bevel setting my Torrey the other day and as a test I always run my fingers from the spine up to the edge then check the edge with the thumb. I noticed that the edge on one side was rough when I ran my fingers from spine to edge. Him, a rolled edge. 3 back laps and right as rain.

Never fear the over hone. Always check for this little indicator and back stroke it a few until it comes back in line. Have no fear.

I find it good to back stroke on my final lap. So far it hasn't hurt and has given good results.
