    I could only pass the hht of ch.5 since i have had my coticule and bbw and like some one said a good strop ie tm i have twoi can pass hht on the finest of hair without use of paste and like you say patience and light strokes realy light and good tecnique

    I know e decent strop is a must. I've got a Jemico, which isn't bad, but I'd love one of the SRP ones, a Miller, or most of all, an Invisible edge one with the wooden handle. Maybe i'll think about it later down the line.

    Maarten, there's been a few this week. They're all shaving well. I'm happy with them, including a NOS Friodur that's been causing problems. I wanted it perfect so i can offload it shave ready. It's just stored now!

    Congrats. It is nice to see progress. It seems we make some then we are kind of on a flat plane until we climb a bit higher. Getting to know the hones and getting the muscle memory and coordination is part of it for sure.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
