    Default cheap norton stones?

What do you all think about this? Combination Sharpening Waterstones [Norton - 61463624336][547-61463624336]
Its Norton 4000 8000 stones, but its too cheap. I looked up the company and it appear legit but the reviews of them are all over the place.

Only thing that I can say is that the combo 4k/8k that I have and all that I have seen look nothing like the one in the ad. However when I try to enlarge the pic nothing happens. I would call them and verify that the Norton stock # and their stock # is the same product. You should be able to go on the Norton site to get their #.

It's a very good price as far as i'm aware, but I noticed this, "Quantity 5 per pack"
    Is it a bulk purchase?
If so, you could arrange for some guys to come in with you, or you want to offload them in the classifieds it would be worthwhile. Depends on shipping.
If the reviews are a bit suspect then you're taking a gamble though.

By googling that norton part number that the site you linked lists, 61463624336, I found a bunch of google hits. They all have the same description that leads me to believe it is the right 4k/8k, but a lot have the same weird pictures of not the right stone.

This site here is the most clear, it lists the same norton part number and is definitely the right stone. Norton Stones Store - 4000/8000 grit Combination Waterstone.

If the site you linked is indeed the same/right one, that's a great price though! I would call them to verify at any rate. Just ask if it'syellow on one side, white on the other, and in a blue case. If so, buy at least one!

Jacob tells me that they "don't have Norton in stock at all" and he feels they had probably lowered their prices on the Nortons to get rid of their inventory.

He did refer me to their competitor though, and it appears they have the 8x3 Norton 4k/8k waterstone (61463624336) for only $123.47 (42% off of $214.73!)

    Any takers? lol
