Thanked: 4942Example of Badly Ground v. OK Wade & Butcher
Well I can't figure out how to get a picture in here, so I put one in my gallery. The top razor is one sent to me by a member for honing. I have been working on it for a month and still haven't gotten past the bad grinding for a consistent edge. When you new guys pick up a razor like this, it will be next to impossible to get it shavable quickly. It should probably be reground by machine and expert on that machine, vs. the laborious hand and wet stone method I have been using. When learning to hone I would recommend something no worse than the lower razor shown. Both are W&B's and these can be some of the very best shavers out there. Good Luck. Lynn
