    Default shaving test

I get very good results from honing not very often i don't get a razor shave ready thanxs to srp. The only thing is now i always think could it be sharper i think most people do. I find one day growth glides over 2 day growth shaves realy well. 3 day growth and i feel the blade grab each section then slice through beard no pulling at all just a feel of a lttle bite befor razor shaves as i take my next stroke same again i quiken my strokes up a little and it smooths it out just change of tecnique to suit the beard my beard is not wire beard but i have a fairly medium full stubble.

Is this normal does any one else experiance this?

Hey Gary, I think my experiences are similar to yours. My beard is not light, but not "Mediterranean" heavy either. Definitely wire-like in certain areas though, and coupled with fairly soft sensitive skin it can make shaving touchy at times. After one day I will get some irritation trying to get a BBS shave. Three days and my razor has it's work cut out for it, but still smooth. I find two days growth, or even 1 1/2 optimal for a nice smooth shave. A change of technique for how many days growth I have is required. And you're right - reading all these posts about the sharpest edge out there makes you shoot for the best, and while a scary sharp edge DOES make a world of difference ultimately the quality of the shave is due to the shavers technique..... and possibly his tolerance for pain

I find i can shave every day but only with grain as against the grain every day my skin starts to hurt every two days about right like you say 3 days razor has its work cut out at least for first pass after first pass no probs
