That and a strop is really all you need unless you are going to "Hone Razors"

Then yes the Norton Starter set is probably the best all around set you can get in a reasonable price range, that combined with a 10k finisher would be all you would ever need from start to finish....

Trust me you can get crazy on hones out there, but that is more want than need....
