Default Norton Razor Hone… seems a bit pricy for most.

Is this stone stone worth it?... What's so great about it?
or it the marketing strategy a stroke of genius.

Also, notice you don't quite see the "uneven" back of the hone.

I understand the price for the Escher... it is over 9 inches long and 2 inches wide and an unbelievable 2 inches deep.

But the Norton Barber Hone, about half the size, with what seems to be a badly chipped rear surface, and with 6 days to go and only 2 bids so far, it's already over US$180. The Escher witch was soled for US$142.

Is the Norton Barber hone the equivalent of DD razor when it comes to auctions?

This has come up before. Note in the description that the seller says."very popular with axemen". That is not an exaggeration. I've seen one go for twice what that one is now.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Jimmy's right. I have seen several of these go for well over $500. For some reason this is the holy grail hone for axe-men.
