Thanked: 0HELP: 3M films I.D. needed
Hi guys, I decided I want to hone my razors all by myself and want to be sure I'm capable of it before I spend a lot of money in stones (I really like the idea of shapton ceramics, but i'd love a coticule/BBW natural combo), lapping plates and similar things.
As from title: 3M Italy asked me the I.D. of the lapping films so that they can tell me if (and where) I can purchase them here. The problem is I don't know the "official" 3M ID as reported in this page (look at the left bottom of the 1st page):

Can you help me please? how thick are your films? do you know what kind of resin backing they have?
Thank you really very much,
Maolo

Thanked: 995Something like this: Santa Fe Jewelers Supply - 3M Micron Polishing Paper
A lot less expensive than diamonds. If you can get the 3M diamond sheets in Europe, these will be more common to find.“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power.” R.G.Ingersoll
