Getting better on the Belgians
Honed a spare DA razor using a DMT 600 (I didn't have a DMT 1200), Coticule + slurry (to smooth out the DMT600), BBW + slurry, coticule + water, and got a comfortable BBS shave. This was my second attempt, the first resulted in an OK shave, but this one was really good.
Then was able to touch up my professionally honed Dovo with BBW + slurry, then coticule + water, with 60 laps on the strop, and the shave was as good as new (I never got a pass on HHT, but couldn't tell from the shave!).
Big thanks to Smokelaw1 for the loaner DA, and to Bart for his great advise on honing with the Belgians.
