Thanked: 286tpt on coti
One thing i have noticed that honing on on coti with slurry on a dull blade the tpt feels realy sticky sharp and its quite amazing how the slurry can get the edge back so quikly. But it amazes me how it lacks keenes on test shave yet feel sharp. Any one else noticed this?

Thanked: 171Yeah I get a very sticky TPT result coming off the coti with slurry when setting the bevel. Also off the DMT 1200. Seems more willing to slice right into the thumb pad at these grit levels. I always figured it was because there is some kind of rough micro-serrated pattern on the edge at that grit level that lends itself well to cutting skin, but not as well suited for cutting hair and treating your face nicely.

Thanked: 1212Nothing feels as sticky on my thumb as an edge fresh off a DMT 1200. Not even a fully honed and stropped razor. But it's my thumb of course.
With the TPT, as with the HHT, you have to know what to aim for of which hone.
