I still watch the DVD and see things I never noticed before. Some are subltle tweeks that never have mention out loud but if looking for them they pop out. I've read most of Lynn's posts but I get kind of focused and if a post doesn't pop with the info I need I move on kind of fast

I was away from the site a few months but never stopped using a straight, it was just expensive hanging around here still is but I have a better control on my needs at the moment (ya right...)

It is difficult to know where to start though. I'm glad I started with the coti. I need more razors to hone now though . . .

Lynn probably forgot more about honing than any of us know. I would still be shaving with a DE if it hadn't been for him. Thanks again Lynn for SRP and for all you contribute to the sport!
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

To make yourself feel better, just think about how much Lynn may have spent on hones!

I don't know how I missed this thread when it first came out but I'm glad I finally happened upon it. I have followed Lynn from the very earliest days of the Yahoo SRP and I am eternally grateful to him for all his generosity in sharing his knowledge, time and experiences with this hobby. In addition Lynn has been extremely generous to me and I am very thankful to him for that and for everything he has shared and I will always be indebted to him. It has been a wonderful journey learning the different ways people do this and I am still on that road too, I don't think it ever ends. Lynn's post stands as a testament to always keep moving forward and always be open to learning and most of all have fun doing it.

    Thanks Lynn!

    Best Regards,
    EL

Lynn, you have made a dull world sharper. So many will always be so greatful to your devotion and the work you have done to keep the art of straight shaving alive for me and countless others.

    Hi,
I stated using straight razors about 26-27 years ago and honed razors by myself (140-150), not sure exactly. I used different techniques and read about in books mostly which were not simple to find. Your videos, article, Lynn helped my dramatic. I reinvented the full concept of honing razors for myself. I stopped on Naniwas (pyramid honing with exact numbers you suggested) and caticule for final polishing. Thank you for your sharing and help...
