Hey guys, I apparently am getting a couple of Naniwa super stones--an 8K and a 2K (they were DEAD cheap...about $60 for the pair because they are the thin versions.)

I only got the 2K because they didn't have a 1k in the thin, and I needed another stone to bump me over $50 to get free shipping (or at least that's how I justified it to myself). So now my question is, could this stone work as a bevel setter? I understand that the super stones are fairly fast...would that make up for the difference in grit from a 1/1.2K stone?

In the Wiki, Glen mentions using a 2K to help finish the bevel and "align the edge to the stones"...is it at all beneficial?

I'm just wondering how to put it to best use...

Thanks!
Jim
