    Are these the ones sold at SRD? If so, they have gotten rave reviews from some folks.

    Naniwa Diamond Stones


    Naniwa Diamond Stones are aluminum 'stones' covered with a layer of about 2mm water stone with diamond as abrassive. This makes them real Japanse water stones and unlike other diamond stones, they last very long! The diamond powder makes that these water stones hone to times as fast as normal water stones. This makes these stones perfectly suited for knives made of the hardest steel...



    Looks like there is a different type then the Super Stones these seem to be more geared toward knives though

    If they work as good as the DMTs I see them being good for bevel setting IMLE.

    I know the 1k Naniwa Super Stone sets bevels quick and smooth as I own one..

    Never been a huge fan of Diamond stones for bevel setting only because of the deeper scratch patterns... But they do work fast...
