Does it make any sense to go from 1.0 diamond paste to 0.5 diamond paste, to 0.25 diamond paste and then finish it off with 0.5 Chromium?

Or does ending with the Chromium defeat going down to the 0.25 diamond?

I think that ChromOx is the ultimate finishing paste, and smoothes out almost any edge - So yes, I think it would be benificial after the 0.25 diamond

Not all razors like the .25 Diamond, not all faces do either...
With the right combo a .25 edge is amazing...

To answer your question??? "Yes", that will work going to a .50 Cr after the .25 will smooth up the edge. but I would not do it automaticaly I would try the edge first then decide....

Glen, what is your theory as to why the 0.25 diamond is good for some edges and not for others? Is it the steel itself? The level to which it was honed or how perfect it was honed before trying the paste? The grind and bevel angle? Something else?
