    Default Un-known Dry Razor Hone.

Just got a dry razor hone & not heard of one before.
The instructions on the back says use no water, soap or lather.
Do not bear down on the razor & 5 strokes will be enough for a sharp edge.
Sounds too good to be true!
It looks black but while flattening it off the dust is a soil brown.
The size is 6” x 1” x ½” Feels silky smooth like graphite.
Looking at it with a loupe it seems to be made up of random size particles
& a binder, the instructions are on the back but no manufacturers name.
    Any Ideas?

+1 I've seen numerous barber hones where the instructions on the box say no more than 5-7 passes. Lynn has always said less is more!

    Default Pictures of the hone.

I was more surprised about it being dry than the No of laps needed.
I wondered what stops it from glazing?
