    Default Double Handed honing

    Folks,
I just saw a video clip with someone sharpening with one hand on the bottom of the razor and one finger on the tip of the razor. Is this advisable? What are the benefits. What are the dangers?

I don't see any benefits, but the danger that the honing gets unequal, because it is more difficult to control the movement and the quality of the razor lying flat on the stone when you have only one grip point.

I always hone with both hands.

    Best regards
    Martin
