    How do you strop? You should not create a 2nd bevel with a strop unless you keep it very slack or you lift the spine.

    BTW re-examining the pix in the OP I do not see second bevels. The other thing that strikes me is that the bevel of the blade done by Bartisto is slightly out of focus. Would that explain the "absence" of scratches on his bevel?
