Thread: Honing technique question.

I also go side to side. Probably more like 3 o'clock/9 o'clock when I am at home standing in front of the kitchen sink. I like to have my arm hanging loose from the shoulder and move from the elbow.
At work I have to hone sitting down (jf biz is slow and I feel like it). In that case it is probably more like 2/8. I never did hone going away as this is working and I don't need to fix it. I like what Alan said in another thread here about relieving the weight of the razor in the finishing strokes.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Ive been honing all over the stone(1), i am definately man-handling the razor much to roughly. (2) and i will give the different stone angles a go. (3)
