Milestone
Being a stay-at-home-dad is a busy life in case you didn't know and as a result all of my razors were in need of honing. When there's a mountain of work it's sometimes harder to convince myself to get to it so they sat next to my stones for weeks until I finally got up to it last night. Twelve blades, all in different states of shave/unshaveability including two which had never shaved well and one which had never shaved at all. I did them each individually by feel alone, sensation on the stone and TPT and called it on each when I felt they were done, no HHT which was my test before going to a finishing stone or paste and this time I ended with the 8k Norton. Tonight was the shave test for the twelve and I got a small sense of what it must be like for Lynn to shave test multiple razors, but here's the good news. Two were overhoned, but one of those was overhoned to begin with, two more were shaving, but gave substandard shaves and two were perfectly sublime including one which had likely never shaved well in its existence. I'm keeping the four substandards back to work on, but the other eight are back in rotation. This marks a honing milestone for me to hone primarily off of the sensation on the stone and to achieve so much ground on them all. As always there's still room for improvement, but I'm a little surprised and equally proud of this small achievement.

Congratulations! I admit that I have relied too heavily on the HHT and should develop more of a feel of the TPT in the higher stages (above 1k) of honing.
It must have been nice to just have that time in your busy life to yourself to just be with your stones in solitude.
