    Thanks again for all of your advise, two of the razors are shaving quite nicely, the tip of the third seems to not make contact with the hone on one side.

    Just to throw out one more idea (I came to the thread late): You mentioned in your OP that the razor(s) was shaving fine at first but deteriorated upon successive shaves and stropping.

    To me this is a clue of a stropping problem. Cannot think of any other reason your shave quality would go from good to less than good in such a short time.

    Although it appears that re-honing has solved the problem (temporarily?), keep working on your stropping technique. Otherwise, if I'm correct, you'll become dependent on the stones and wear your razors more than necessary.
