With diamond pastes you will get into trouble I think.
The liquid the diamond particles have been dissolved in is watersoluable.
The diamond particles are not.
So wiping them off will probably not be enough.
I would try to sand down the surface a bit,
this way you will get rid of most of the parcticles
and be able to reaply some.
But still there is a chance your .25 will be contaminated with 1.0µ
because these ultrafine particles will settle down in every pore and every grain
of the leather and will be willing to stay were they are

I wouldn't risk that kind of transition. Shouldn't be too hard to just replace the leather strip.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

I wouldn't mess with it, it is always possible to go up in grit size but I never consider it feasible to go down. if you have a plain side I would use that making your four sided a paddle a sharpening tool and giving you an excuse to get that nice new hanger you know you want

hello Gary,
I get the best results, when it comes to diamondpaste
when I apply ot to felt. I see that in the latest Video showing Lynn in a little demonstration
It is cheap and can easily be glued to wood!
I don´t know why but it seems the felt makes the diamond edge
way smoother and more gently.
I have not tried using it on a cotton strop
but I cannot think why it shouldn´t work

I bought my felt at a local diy-store in the section were you can get little wooden boxes and wrapping paper and stuff
It cost me 49cents and will be enough for 4-5 strops ^^
