Could you please be more explicit in what you (seemingly) don't like about the C12k?

    Thanks!

i'm not going to put words in lynn's mouth. But it is just slow and a bit inconsistent.

But it is a great stone for the money, IMHO. Just have to lap the crap out of it and get the hang of the stone.

I know JoeD and Holli4pirating use it a lot.

I would recommend doing a search. I have commented on this stone many times in the past. Let us just say that I find it most inconsistent. If a new guy wants to go cheap on something that can work with some amount of strokes go for it. Appreciate the question.

    Thanks for the responses!

I've got one, and I'm a new honer, and the stone itself is OK, but they're not overly consistent. I do manage to get a good surface though, but lapping it takes some time. The "rough" bottom on mine is now almost a good working surface, it'll probably need another half hour with a sheet of sandpaper.

I think I prefer my synthetic stones, when it comes to the "quality feel".

Bassett I don't know if i'd try using the hard CrOx on felt. Lynn and Don specifically made the wool felt to work with the diamond spray. I just can't see that combo working very well????
