Thanked: 0Creating slurry with superfine 3M diamond stone
I tried it all on my Norton 8K and Ice bear 10K to get the slurry I wanted. Just for grins and giggles I tried a 1x4 superfine diamond stone made by 3M. Walla!!! It works great!!! No discernible scratches with a 5x glass and the slurry is fantastic! Keeps my stones flat too. I keep a Japanese square on the honing table and check squareness often. I can usually tell a stone has lost some flatness by the pattern of the slurry wave the edge is pushing. Nagura always gave bumps on the 8k or 10k. Razors sharpened in this slurry are passing the hair test.
