Default Lansky Diamond Hone as Slurry Stone for BBW and Conticle?

    Hi,

I am quite new in straight razors world and now I am completing my tool set. I already own Lansky Diamond Knife Sharpening system. For sharpening my razors I am going to buy Belgian Blue Whetstone and Conticle.

My question to more experienced forum users:
Can I use one of Lansky Diamond Hones (Extra Coarse, Coarse, Medium or Fine) as Slurry Stone for BBW and Conticle?

    Best regards,
    Tom

yes, the diamonds won't contaminate the slurry since they're so much harder.

But assuming that you used the honing oil that came in the set, you wouldn't want to contaminate the BBW or coticule with any oil. Do you think that would pose a problem?

Where are you getting the Coticule and BBW from? When I got mine I got a slurry stone included free of charge.

    gugi: Thanks for your opinion

StraightRazorDave: It should not be a problem beccause I do not use this oil for Lansky

dannywonderful: I have bought those stones directly from manufacturer at Ardennes Coticule - Producer of the Coticule whetstone! Now I am waiting for delivery. They did not mentioned anything about additional free slurry stones but I will see while I receive the package.

That's where I got mine from, krushon. I didn't ask for a free slurry stone, it was just included free of charge so hopefully you'll get the same.
