Thanked: 25Strop scratch
I do not know if it has been mentioned here but when you have to remove a lot of metal from the edge a square point can form where the heal transition curve meets the new edge. If you see that point round it or it will scratch your strop.

Thanked: 346Same thing with the tip of the edge and spine. My strop was recently scratched by a new razor with a sharp-cornered tip. I've since resolved to take some 1000 grit sandpaper and dehorning any new razor that comes into my possession before I try to use it.
