    Default Strop scratch

I do not know if it has been mentioned here but when you have to remove a lot of metal from the edge a square point can form where the heal transition curve meets the new edge. If you see that point round it or it will scratch your strop.

Same thing with the tip of the edge and spine. My strop was recently scratched by a new razor with a sharp-cornered tip. I've since resolved to take some 1000 grit sandpaper and dehorning any new razor that comes into my possession before I try to use it.
