Thanked: 286Setting bevel
I have dmt1200 1k norton and 1k naniwa i have always found using my dmt1200 the easiest to read if bevel is set because it gives such strong feed back ie the edge always feel so sticky and grips like hell on tnt unlike the 1k norton and 1k naniwas for this reason i was told the dmt1200 leaves a choppier edge and that is why i also notice once i've hit the 4k range the tpt looses that imence grip and smooths out which is normal.
my question is what is your favourite bevel setter and why? also they say dmt1200 can be a bit agressive which made me think twice about using it but i do find it works realy well. it seems like my favorite at this moment in time

Thanked: 2591beston 500, if I do not have to go so low then Naniwa Chosera 1k.
The grip a stone provides largely depends on the type of stone by the way. I never felt that 1.2k DMT provides any grip or feed back for that matter.Stefan
