    Dave,
Good move, asking first. When in doubt - DON'T.
As for the stone you are referring to, I have no idea what it will do. I can say, however, that any stone I have seen with the word fine on it is generally not fine enough for a finisher.
I think you started using that razor around 9/1, at least it was finished on 8/28.

You should be using a hard strop with crox after about ever 6 shaves or so, depending on your beard toughness. Do 10 or 15 laps, strop 20 to 30 laps and shave with it. If it isn't sharp enough, try it again. When this doesn't work you need to go to a finishing stone like a barbers hone or the one that is sold at Woodcrafters called a chinese 12k. Make sure they are flat before you try to use them.

When using the crox, you use the same amount of pressure you do when stropping. It is the tendency to press harder. This is a great way to ruin the edge. The hard strop with crox is actually a variable grit stone and can be very agressive. be careful with it. Too much of a good thing can sometimes be bad.

If you need some help with this, let me know.

If I'm not mistaken that is a pocket knife stone. A Carborundum 100, 101 and maybe a 102 are razor hones.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
