Thread: Felt marker

My eyes got tired from louping the edge last night. I put black marker on the edges. It shows how the bevel is riding the stone.

I use magic marker whenever i set the bevel on a razor. It not only tells me where the edge is touching the stone but what type of stroke I'll nee to properly hone the entire edge. I really don't use it past the 1k stage though. Once I wasn't sure if I used tape or not on a razor and I used marker on the edge and did a few passes on my coticule. It clearly showed me tape was used since there was still marker at the very edge.
