Thanked: 0Pyramid question
This was in a Randy Tuttle post, I have not been able to find a reference that tells me what means.
5/4000 5/8000
3/4000 5/8000
3/4000 5/8000
1/4000 3/8000
1/4000 3/8000
is it "5 strokes up and back with a 4000 grit"
followed by "5 strokes up and back with 8000 grit"
followed by "3strokes up and back with 4000 grit"
followed by "etc".
Thanks

Well, you could go "back and up", but yes, by jove, I think you've got it!

That's short pyramid BTW. Standard comes down from 15/5, aggressive from 25/5. I've even done down from 100/10! to establish a bevel.Last edited by xman; 11-01-2005 at 07:35 AM.

Sometimes written in hieroglyphics too. No sense to it this pyramid, but damn if it doesn't work.
