Cr-ox on newsprint
I have benn using cromium oxide on a large pad of newsprint scetch paper from Strathmore insted of a strop and for me this has worked out great, I just use the Crox like a crayon on the pad then place it on a table with the paste side on the edge and so far great results. its lft and the sheets underneth gives abit of cusion, after the paste I stop abit on the un-pasted paper it being like news paper without ink, before I goto my excellent KenRup El Toro. anyone else use this?

Thanked: 346yes. It's a very consistent, light drawing substrate that makes for very consistently sharp edges. And when it comes time to repaste you just throw the old sheet away and lay down a new one. Very convenient.

Sounds like a great plan, what weight is the paper? I have a lot of sketch pads and want to give it a try

The paper is 30lbs, my edges are very keen and smooth after using this I didn't come up with this obviously, its some where on the SRP posts IMO its alot better than a strop for stability and if you dont have a balsa strop.
