Thanked: 45I started with two hands, did a couple with one hand -- until I encountered a warped blade . . . and went back to two. Seems to be working so far . . .
That said, when it comes to the barber hone, I hold with the left hand, and hone with the right. Works a charm.

Thanked: 5After several hundred razors now I'm definitely in the 2-hand camp; no matter how still I am or how sure my dominant hand is, the toe always seems to be difficult to perfect with one hand (while easy with two).
Never understood why 2 hands would have any more propensity to make the bevel depth irregular than 1 hand would at making the heel have a deeper bevel. That blade's edge either has an equal amount of pressure across it or it does not, and sometimes that's got plenty to do with the slightly irregular topography of the hone or the blade.
