Bevel
Folks,
When I look at a razor under the scope, where is the bevel? How do I determine if the bevel needs to be reworked? And after developing the bevel what should I look for to know it is about right so I can start working on developing the edge?

I can only give you a partial answer. I look at the angled section on the end and refer to that as the bevel. I look to make sure it is even and with experience can see if it is not angled correctly but thats a hard call. I think if both ends and both sides look the same width I would consider it close. I ensure the edge of the bevel, the part you shave with is continuous, no gaps or nicks. If I have any doubts a proper honing is all that is needed. That includes simply paying attention to what your doing on a 4,000 grit hone. I have one blade that is a little off on the heal end, the bevel is short on that end, shorter than toward the point or the rest of the razor. So the idea here is to hone the heal a little more carefully in that section until it is the same width from heal to tip. Thats the way I understand it.
