    Default you guys ever seen this

    i have 8 different razors (FOR MY 7 DAYS SET) and im looking for honing stones...and since its very hard to find honing stones in montreal i went online and this is what i found

    Is it good enough as a hone,,,is it a hone???

    Very fast, but can cause micro chipping. Great for getting things done fast, but ideally, you'd finish with others.

    IME the 325 is really good for lapping waterstones. The 1200 is a good bevel setter and the 8000 is good for sharpening but as ben.mid said some razors with be prone to micro chipping with them. If I was going to recommend something on the frugal end of the scale the 325 for lapping and the Norton 4/8 for sharpening would be it. If money is no object than the 325 and Naniwas or Shaptons. Then there are the naturals which is another alternative. Better to have too many choices than too few.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
